Getting Started
How do I create my first PRD?
After signing up, click 'New Project' and start a conversation with our AI. Describe your product idea in natural language, answer follow-up questions, and the AI will generate a comprehensive PRD for you.
What information should I provide to get the best results?
The more context you provide, the better. Include: the problem you're solving, target users, success metrics, constraints, and any existing context. The AI will ask clarifying questions if needed.
How long does it take to generate a PRD?
Most PRDs are generated within 2-5 minutes after you've answered all the AI's follow-up questions. Complex PRDs with many features may take slightly longer.
Can I edit the generated PRD?
Absolutely! Generated PRDs are fully editable. You can modify any section, add new content, or regenerate specific parts using the AI.
Templates
What templates are available?
We offer templates for Feature PRDs, Technical Specs, User Stories, Product Launch docs, Roadmaps, and more. Templates vary by plan tier.
Can I create custom templates?
Yes, Professional and Enterprise customers can create and save custom templates. You can also submit templates to our marketplace for others to use.
How do I choose the right template?
Each template is optimized for different use cases. Feature PRDs are great for new features, Technical Specs for engineering handoff, and User Stories for agile workflows.
Collaboration
How do I invite team members?
Go to Organization Settings > Members > Invite. Enter their email addresses and assign roles (Admin, Editor, or Viewer). They'll receive an invitation email.
What are the different user roles?
Admins can manage the organization and billing. Editors can create and edit PRDs. Viewers can only view PRDs. Custom roles are available for Enterprise customers.
Can multiple people edit a PRD at once?
Yes, PRDs support real-time collaboration. Multiple team members can view and comment. Simultaneous editing of the same section shows a conflict indicator.
How do comments and feedback work?
Highlight any text in a PRD to add a comment. Team members are notified of new comments. Comments can be resolved or converted into tasks.
Export & Integration
What export formats are supported?
Free: Markdown. Starter: Markdown, PDF. Professional+: Markdown, PDF, DOCX. API access is available for custom integrations on paid plans.
How do I export a PRD?
Open any PRD and click the 'Export' button in the top right. Choose your format and the file will download immediately.
Can I integrate with Jira/Linear/Notion?
Direct integrations are coming soon! In the meantime, you can use our API or export to Markdown which imports cleanly into most tools.
Is there an API?
Yes, we have a comprehensive REST API with 130+ endpoints. API access is available on Starter plans and above. See our API documentation for details.
Billing & Plans
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Settings > Billing > Change Plan. Select your new plan and complete the checkout. Upgrades take effect immediately.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you're prorated for the remainder of your billing period. When downgrading, the change takes effect at your next billing date.
What happens if I exceed my limits?
You'll receive a notification when approaching limits. Once you hit your PRD limit, you can still view and edit existing PRDs but won't be able to create new ones until you upgrade or your limits reset.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied, contact support within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
Security & Privacy
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use TLS 1.3 for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. We're SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant.
Is my data used to train AI models?
Your content is processed by AI providers to generate PRDs but is not used to train their models. Enterprise customers can enable zero retention policies.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in AWS data centers. By default, US-East. Enterprise customers can choose EU or APAC data residency.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, you can delete individual projects anytime. To delete all data and close your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
